What comes after senior UX designer?
Either lead or principal designer, or design manager. Leads and principals set standards and take the hardest problems, while managers hire, coach and run critique. At mature companies neither ranks above the other. The real choice is whether you want to be judged on your own work or your team's.
Is UX design oversaturated?
The entry level is crowded, largely because many junior designers came through programs that produce similar portfolios. Mid and senior designers with shipped results are in a different market. Early on, one or two case studies with real constraints and results will do more than another practice project.
Can a UX designer become a product manager?
Yes, and it's one of the more natural PM backgrounds, since you already do discovery and understand users. The usual gaps are business metrics, trade-offs with engineering and owning a roadmap. Take on some of that in your current job before applying, so your resume can show it.
